Popular Kannywood cum Nollywood actor, Ali Nuhu, has again waded into the expulsion of popular Hausa actress, Rahama Ibrahim Sadau, from the Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, MOPPAN.
MOPPAN recently expelled Sadau for hugging and cuddling in a romantic musical video by a Jos-born musician, ClassiQ, and the actress had reacted to the expulsion.
In a statement, she took responsibility for her actions
But reacting to the development, Nuhu had earlier justified the ban, saying it was logical as she violated the codes and ethics of Kannywood.
However, barely seven days after Nuhu made his stand known on the expulsion, the Maiduguri-born actor made a U-turn, saying the expulsion was unfair.
He made his new stand known in a chat with Channels TV.
He said, “I think that her expulsion was too rigid. If it was like giving her a warning or placing her on suspension, I can understand but expelling someone from her profession, I don’t think it’s fair.
“I have spoken to some Excos of Kannywood. I think they are going to reconsider it,” the ‘Royal Gamble’ actor stated. dailypost
